Piano music soon turned to organ, rhodes and synth sounds and a variety of playing styles soon followed. Anthony is truly passionate about music and loves to play, listen to and talk about music. Some of his favorite bands are Kansas, Opeth, Tribal Tech, Symphony X, Steely Dan, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Alice In Chains, Allmans and all classic rock and metal. “I don’t listen to the radio much, I like music that requires thinking!”
Over the years Anthony has written and recorded music and has played with many of Long Island’s popular musicians and has played keyboards and sang backing vocals with many bands most notably: Just Purple: Deep Purple Tribute and War Pigs: Classic Black Sabbath Tribute with Bob Freese the current drummer for Modern Justice, Bad Animals, Heartless: Heart Tributes, Cold Shot: The Stevie Ray Vaughan Experience. Anthony has performed internationally at the Luminato festival in Toronto Canada.
Anthony has also worked diligently on his vocal ability and has fulfilled a long time passion for singing; His recent bands Alpha Dog, Modern Justice and War Pigs, all showcase this ability. Anthony has performed at Rock Out Cures 2009-2011 annual charity festival event and was invited back to perform ROC V 2012 as well with Modern Justice. Check out www.rockoutcures.com.
Since that time he has spent the ensuing years playing primarily in different classic rock/party band outfits, most notably in His Boy Elroy from 2003-present, and most recently MODERN JUSTICE (from summer 2011-present). Mark also had the distinct pleasure and challenge of participating as a member of disco queen Gloria Gaynor's backing band at a town sponsored event in summer 2006 at Tanner Park, Copiague, NY. Educational background includes a degree in Jazz Guitar/Performance from Five Towns College in 1985.
